How do I change LAN1 IP settings on a cMT-SVRX which has Codesys activated?
Hi @donnedved25,
When a cMT-SVRX is equipped with a CODESYS license, the LAN 1 port will be assigned to CODESYS and the LAN 2 port will retrieve an IP via DHCP by default. To change the IP of LAN 1, you can use the following method:
-
Connect your PC to the LAN 2 port and open the web server.
-
Enable the Codesys “Gateway”:
-
Connect to Codesys using the HMI’s “LAN 2” port and note this is the same port you use to download the HMI application:
Note: The IP address of my LAN 2 port is shown below.
-
Within the Codesys IDE, double-click “Device (Weintek Built-in CODESYS)”, enter the SVRX’s LAN 2 IP within the drop-down list under the device, and “Press ENTER to set active path…”:
Note: You should see a green dot when everything is connected.
-
Within the project tree, right-click “Device (Weintek Built-in CODESYS)” and select “Add Device…”:
-
Within the following menu, select an “Ethernet” adapter with version 3.5.15.0 and click the “Add Device…” button in the bottom right corner:
Note: This driver should come equipped with the recommended version of Codesys (3.5.15.50, however, you may need to select the “Display all versions” check box to view this driver. -
Double-click on the “Ethernet” device within the project tree and click on the ellipses within the following menu:
-
Within the “Network Adapters” menu, please select eth0 and click “OK”:
-
Type the desired IP and subnet mask of LAN 1 into the entry field and ensure that “Adjust operating system settings” is selected:
-
The IP address of LAN 1 will update to the settings specified within step 9 after you download the Codesys application.
