HMI Model: cMT2128X

EasyBuilder Pro Version: V6.10.01.510

Hello,
I am having a problem when downloading to the HMI screen. When compiling the screen and building the cxob file, I receive the message ‘Failed to build cxob file, please try again.’ When I use the current HMI file on another computer, it downloads normally. Please give me a way to resolve this.
Thank you.
Hello,
This issue is not related to the HMI project itself, but to the EasyBuilder Pro environment on the computer where the compilation fails. The fact that the same project downloads correctly on another PC confirms this.
The error “Failed to build cxob file” is usually caused by one of the following:
-
Corrupted or incomplete EasyBuilder Pro installation
– Reinstall EasyBuilder Pro using the same version that works on the other computer. -
Antivirus or Windows Defender blocking the cxob compiler
– Temporarily disable the antivirus and try again.
– If it works, add EasyBuilder Pro and the project folder to the antivirus exclusion list. -
Permission or path issues
– Avoid compiling the project from Desktop, OneDrive, or folders with special characters.
– Use a simple local path, for example:
C:\HMI\Project_Name
– Run EasyBuilder Pro as Administrator. -
Temporary files or cache issue
– In EasyBuilder Pro, go to Tools → Clear Temporary Files, then restart the software and rebuild the project. -
Windows user account problem
– Try compiling using a local administrator account with a simple user name (no spaces or special characters).
After correcting the local environment, the project should build the .cxob file and download normally.
Best regards,
Hello,
I have exactly the same problem. I am admin of the machine, and this bug arrived with the latest v.6.10.02.231.
I tried to uninstall this version and put back the 6.10.01.554 and this is working with that old version.
Any idea ?
Thank you
Fabien
Hi @z4yNE2,
Can you please post some screenshots of this issue for our team to reference? Also, is the current project file saved on a local or network drive?
