I’ve tried to setup Weidmueller UR20-FBC-EIP to communicated with cMT3072XH3-CODESYS via EthernetIP. After spending hours with Weidmueller tech support and getting nowhere, I decided to try an older cMT2078Xv2-CODESYS controller and communication started working right away, which means that it’s not a problem with Weidmueller adapter.

I updated to the newest EDS file and updated firmware on the Weidmueller adapter. Looks like every 10-15 seconds PLC tries to re-establish connection, at which time I’m getting message “Adapter Running” and it gets green icon, but 2 seconds later I’m getting this message.
Not sure if it’s related to PLC re-establishing connection, but on this unit my laptop is getting disconnected from PLC pretty often, which I’ve not noticed with any other controllers.
I also tried removing one Balluff IO-Link module from the project, thinking that for whatever reason PLC cannot handle communication load. That did not help with establishing connection.

Could you open the Easy Web for both HMI’s and ensure the IP address is same on both HMI. A
Also please ensure the Enable Codesys Login button is checked.

Both HMIs have the same IP address.
Enable Codesys Login was not checked on the failing HMI, but enabling it did not make any difference.

Can you please advise the CODESYS firmware version of both the cMT3072XH3 and the cMT2078X (V2) for our reference?

OS Version – 20260130
Codesys – 20251124
I had to ship the machine with CMT2078 and will not have acces to it for several weeks – will update this thread when I have the info.
