Hello,
Is there a way to shorten the default 1-minute saving interval for persistent data?
I’m using production counters in CODESYS and store the counted pieces in the persistent data area. When a power loss occurs, approximately 50 counts are lost due to the long delay before the next save.
Thank you for your help!
Kind regards,
Marek
Hi @Mara2000,
It is possible to force data to be saved to CODESYS’s retained memory. However, frequent overwrites can reduce the lifespan of the built-in memory. If you need to save data at shorter intervals, we recommend using CODESYS function blocks to write data to an external storage device, such as a USB drive.
To do this, please refer to the methods demonstrated in the “External Storage Access” and “SysFile and SysDir Library Example” demo projects. You can access these projects by selecting [Download] > [Demos].
