EasyAccess2.0 Reporting HMI Offline

For months I have been able to use EasyAccess to remotely connect to the HMI.

Suddenly, without making any changes, the HMI is “offline” and not available.
(Is it a coincidence that it is 1st May??)

The EasyAccess event log says it went offline at 2026-05-01 02:07:38 (UTC+12)

The physical HMI is still running perfectly - data is flowing via LAN/router from connected controller (via BACnet/IP). Router remains connected to internet.

Is there a fault with the EasyAccess server??

What can I do to restore the HMI to “online”??

Hi @BrianF_NZ ,

Thank you for your question. This behavior is often related to the internet connection at the facility where the HMI is located.

If someone is available on-site, could you please have them open the EasyAccess 2.0 settings menu (Window 76) on the HMI and let us know which error code is displayed there? This will help us determine the appropriate troubleshooting steps.

Thank you. Suddenly about 12 hours later the HMI came back on-line

I assume checking error codes is done using the button at bottom-left of screen, then “settings” (gear) or “system information”, then scrolling to/selecting EasyAccess2.0 tab.

I dont see any default button to screen76. Should I add one? (doesnt seem essential)

Hi @BrianF_NZ ,

Thank you for the update! We are glad to hear the HMI is back online.

Window 76 is the default EasyAccess 2.0 system window on supported models and contains useful diagnostic information. While not required to have direct access to this window, we do recommend including a way to navigate to it, as it can be very useful for troubleshooting on non-cMT models.

If preferred, you could also create a separate window that displays this information for easier access when needed. For example, placing a numeric object mapped to LW-10829 will allow you to monitor the EasyAccess 2.0 error code at runtime.
