When I click the “Get Tag Info” button it does not seem to display any of the tags in the PLC or from the offline program file.

I am using the Rockwell Ethernet/IP (CompactLogic) - Free Tag Names.

I have verified I can ping this PLC.

Above is a link the PLC driver guide. Could you ensure the PLC IP address is set up correctly within PLC software as shown within the guide. If get tag info still doesn’t work could you try the importing tags via a L5X or CSV file.

Hello Aaron,

I have read that one. I can import the offline L5X file but I stll want to know why the online import doesnt work. Its a pain to have to keep saving the program as a L5X. Is there anything wrong with my settings?

Hi @rday1971,
Could you try temporarily disabling the firewall on the PC to see if the tags populate correctly?
If there’s no change, this is most likely firmware-related. It may not be something we can fix remotely, but we’ll take note of it and escalate it to our developers.

That doesnt seem to make a difference. Im pretty sure this worked at some point so your probably right. Please keep me in the loop as to when this will be resolved. Thanks for the help!

Could you send use your EB Pro and PLC firmware versions if possible for our records.

The PLC firmware is version 38. The Weintek software is the most recent version available. Do you think rolling the PLC firmware back would fix the issue?

You can try rolling the PLC firmware back, but unfortunately we can’t guarantee it will resolve the issue since we haven’t tested it and we don’t have any documented results confirming it as a fix.

I can confirm rolling my PLC firmware bcak to version 37 allows me to import the tags.
