I’ve done several of these headless HMIs, but this is the first time I enabled Datalogging to a MYSQL server.
Everything is working fine, the data is syncing and also I left enabled the datalogging to the local HMI memory. So my question is mainly about “what will happen?”
Here you can see that I have BOTH:
History File = Enabled
Sync to Database = Enabled
I have preservation set to 30 days or also HMI memory limited to 10000 records.
What happens on day 31?
If the datalog is SYNCing to the database, will it keep syncing data on DAY 31 and leave all the data in the database from Day 1 thru Day 30?
The end goal would be to always sync ALL date to the SQL database, but also keep a rolling record of the same data locally for up to 30 days or 10000 records before the local .DB file is over written.
Based on my screen shot below, is my datalogging data gunna be OKAY for this application that I did? I can send the source HMI file as well…
(I can’t seem to included my screen shot, ■■■■■■)
