Please post an image or screenshot of the error message that you receive for our reference.

When downloading the application, you will need to ensure that the password used in the “Settings…” box matches the password set within the HMI’s security settings:

Note: The download password can be re-configured within the “Settings…” popup.

Note: The password used above should match what you’ve set the “Download” password too on the HMI.

I checked, it does - 111111

The password on this device may have been changed if the default password of 111111 does not work. In that case, you will need to reset this device in order to use the default password. Here is a tutorial in which we demonstrate how to reset an HMI: Link

I have performed a factory reset (I think). The unit kept the Ethernet address, date and time that I set. The existing project is gone and the opening screen shows “MT8000iE series.” I also selected the restore default password option.

I am using the default password on the unit, but I still get the password error when I try to download.

Can you confirm that the project model shown in the bottom left corner of the screen matches the model number shown on the back of this HMI?

In addition, can you please provide the product serial number for our reference?

Thank you; the model on the box was not the model inside. I have found and downloaded to the correct HMI.
