How to upload a project file via Ethernet

Introduction:

In this post, we will cover how to upload a project file from your HMI to your PC via an ethernet connection.

Software Version:

EasyBuilder Pro 6.03.02.463+

Instructions:

  1. Within EasyBuilder Pro, navigate to the “File” tab:

  2. Next, select the “Upload (HMI → PC)” option:

  3. In the following “Upload (HMI - > PC)” window, select “Search” to locate the HMI on your network (you must be on the same subnet). After locating your HMI, select “Browse” to name your upload file (it will have the .cxob file extension) and select a save location. Ensure that the correct model is selected in the “HMI model” drop-down list. Select the “upload(HMI - > PC)” button when ready to upload:

  4. If you would like to immediately decompile the project file, select “Yes” on the following pop-up:

  5. Enter your “EXOB password” and select “Decompile” to complete the decompilation process. You will now be able to open your project’s .cmtp file in EasyBuilder Pro:
