iR-ETN Max Connections

I am designing a system where I intended to use 8 of the iR-ETN modules in a linear topology, starting at the Codesys LAN port of a cMT2078X. Codesys allows for 32 Ethernet/IP devices, however the iR-ETN states only 8 connections.

Does one of the 8 allowed connections get used up by Codesys or am I ok to connect them all as intended? If needed, I can reduce this to 4 modules by combining IO, but 8 is better.

Hi @JDControlsLLC,

The iR-ETN can be daisy chained as per your example. In the case that you described, the iR-ETN supports connections to up-to 8 client devices. In your application, CODESYS will only use one of those 8 TCP/IP connections. So, there should be no issues.
