I’m using an SVR202 as a wifi gateway for a CMT3072XP. I’ve shown my customer how to use Easy Access to pass through the CMT3072 IP so they can monitor and update it remotely… but this requires an internet connection even if they are on the same local wifi network. Is there anyway to bridge the wifi network with the LAN port on the SVR so that they can locally connect to the CMT3072 without needing the internet connection to physically connect to the CMT3072’s physical network?
Hi @kcoiner ,
Thank you for contributing to our forum.
To set up Ethernet pass-through from the SVRX to the cMT, you will need to add a New HMI device within both projects. This newly created device will share the same IP address (for example, 192.168.1.1) to allow the two HMIs to communicate.
You can then assign the device memory addresses of each object you want to share between the two HMIs to this new device.
Once configured, both HMIs will be connected through the shared memory addresses.
Lastly, in Utility Manager, enable Ethernet Pass-Through. The HMI IP should be the SVRX’s Wi-Fi IP address, and the Pass-Through IP should be the IP address of the newly created HMI device.
