Unable to migrate project from cMT2078X to MT8072iP

Hello,

I am trying to migrate a project from a cMT2078X to an MT8072iP.

When I create a new project, the MT8072iP model is available in the model list. However, when I open my existing cMT2078X project and go to System Parameter Settings > Model, the MT8072iP does not appear as an available target model.

There is no error message. The model is simply not listed as a conversion option.

Is this a limitation of EasyBuilder Pro? Are cMT projects (.cmtp) not allowed to be converted back to iP series HMIs?

If direct conversion is not supported, what is the recommended way to transfer an existing cMT2078X project to an MT8072iP?

Thank you for your question.

It is not possible convert a cMT project to a MT project. We can only covert from MT to cMT. Our recommendation is try and use another cMT HMI or rebuild the project with MT8072iP selected.
