My company just recently bought a used piece of equipment and it came with an HMI that is in French. I need to convert it to English but can’t upload the program. I have reached out to who we bought it from and they don’t have a copy. When I try to upload it says “error : please select a correct HMI model”. How can I tell what model it is or how do I upload it?

Hi @ANDREWJAVENS,

The HMI model can be found on the back of the HMI within a grey or silver label:

You can also find the model within the HMI’s system settings:

On a non-cMT series HMI:

  1. In the bottom right corner of the HMI display select the “Arrow” icon:
  2. Within the following menu select the “I” icon:
  3. Within the system information menu select the “Version” tab:

On a cMT series HMI:

  1. Select the orange settings button located in the top left corner of the HMI:
  2. Select the “Information” tab:

This video demonstrates how to upload a project file via ethernet connection and this Video demonstrates how to upload a project file using a USB or SD Card.

These are the images I have from this unit. I need to be able to get the program out to change the language. I can send you photos in an email but it won’t let me add them to this post. The SN is MP0250

Did you reach out to the machine builder/manufacturer who produced your used machinery? The machine builder should provide you with a copy of project, depending on its internal policy.

Your pre-owned HMI unit may be a custom model. Unfortunately, Weintek USA doesn’t have a way to help you out in this case since we don’t know what the unit and its programming software are.
