What is the best way to configure a totalizer?

Hi I have a siemens LOGO with a weintek HMI,

I am displaying the current consumption on a system but I want to do a totalizer of the current consumption , what would be the best way to do it ?

What is the update rate of the device used to measure current consumption? I think that the following macro may be sufficient:
Note: This macro executes every second and stores the “totalized” output within LW-8904.
Note: LW addresses are not retentive, to retain this total through powercycle, please use RW memory.
