Having an issue with cMT2058XH HMIs when disabling start button.
Leaving the selection for top left of screen for hidden start, cannot access the system settings. Moving to other locations does not help.
For now, end up creating a button in background behind inactive objects that blends in with background to trigger the system bit to call the settings screen.
Not having this issue on other models.
Good morning @durallymax,
To clarify, do you mean to say that when you press on the hidden button’s location, the system menu does not display?
Did you press and hold this location for ~1.5 seconds?
Yes that is the issue, no change with holding for multiple seconds.
When you have time, can you please try to calibrate the HMI’s display using the method below and then reattempt accessing the HMI’s ‘hidden’ start menu button?
Figured it out, had it disabled under system parameters in the EBPro project. Evidently this disables the hidden home buttons. Unchecked that box and things work as expected.
Hi @durallymax,
That would certainly prevent the system menu button from working as is the intent! Also, for anyone else that may have a similar inquiry, the setting to disable the ‘start button’ is located within the “System” tab of the system parameters:
I made the assumption that that checkbox would disable the visible button when the program is transferred but it appears it completely disables even the invisible buttons.
Hi @durallymax,
That is an excellent point, selecting “Hide start button” within the “System Parameters” will essentially disable the default start button. However, the menu can still be accessed using system bit LB-9062 as mentioned within the image below:
