Will it hurt my screen if I don’t use screen saver and leave the screen on for extended periods of time? I have a CMT3092X

The purpose of the “Screen Saver” and “Back light” settings is to help prevent “image persistence” or “burn-in”. We recommend that you enable these options within your project to help prevent this issue:

If need be, there are certain features like the option shown below that will allow you to configure the HMI to turn on the backlight under certain conditions:
