Having problems to communicate cMT-CTRL01. What’s the best way to communicate an cMT-CTRL01 to a cMT2078X?
Hi @PabloPaul ,
Thank you for your question. To better assist, could you share more details about the issue you are encountering when trying to communicate between the cMT-CTRL01 and the cMT2078X? For example, are you seeing a specific error message, or is the device not appearing at all?
For reference, here is the cMT-CTRL01 user manual, which may help with initial setup and communication settings: cMT-CTRL01 manual.
If you are still having trouble, please feel free to attach screenshots or a project file so we can take a closer look and provide further guidance.
Hi, thanks for your reply.
I’m trying to establish a connection from the cMT2078X, but it doesn’t have a built-in CODESYS license — only the cMT-CTRL01 includes that integrated license.
Since I can’t use the built-in CODESYS feature on the HMI, it seems I’ll need to implement communication via Modbus TCP to exchange data between the devices.
Am I understanding this correctly? Thanks in advance!
Hi @PabloPaul ,
Thank you for your message. If CODESYS is not activated on the cMT-2078X, communication can be effectively handled using a protocol such as Modbus TCP.
For more information on how to use Modbus TCP within CODESYS, here is a forum article that takes you through the connection process: How to use Modbus TCP within CODESYS.
