When using the above HMI, in Codesys, I can use the device as a scanner, can I also use it as a adapter?

Thank you for your question.

The HMI’s built-in CODESYS can function as a “master” for all supported protocols which include: Modbus TCP, EtherCat, EtherNet/IP, CANopen, and PROFINET. However, we do not native support to function as an EtherNet/IP adapter or server in CODESYS.

That makes a sense. We have been using ours as an adapter as the Allen Bradley PLC we have to communicate with is not able to be a scanner.

So we have our Codesys setup as a scanner for 10 devices and an adapter for one device.
