I am having issues getting my HMI to communicate with the Keyence XG-X 2802 device, trying to connect with the ODVA Ethernet/IP driver (Implicit messaging) driver. I have verified that the IP address is correct, that the assembly numbers and sizes are correct but no luck. Both devices are plugged into a switch and can be pinged and connected to individually with a PC but comms can’t seem to be established between the two. I am getting the No Device Response message after timeout.

Any ideas on further things to check would be appreciated.

Hi @Cstarr,

There are some limitations on the ODVA General Ethernet/IP (Implicit messaging) driver, so it is not compatible with all generic Ethernet/IP devices.

As far as using Ethernet/IP implicit messaging, I suggest you implement our Codesys runtime. Please refer to this helpful forum post to get started. However, you will need to obtain a Codesys activation card for your HMI.
