How to import an an EDS file or ESI file

Introduction:

Within this post, we demonstrate how to import an EDS or ESI file within a Codesys project.

Software Version:

Codesys IDE 3.5.15.50
Codesys package

Instructions

  1. Open the Codesys IDE and select “Device Repository” within the “Tools” tab:

  2. Within the “Device Repository” click the “Install” button to locate and install an EDS or ESI file:

  3. After which, your file will be imported and you may exit via the “Close” button on the bottom right of this window.
